Responsibilities of a health and safety officer

S tudies have shown that the top cause of workplace accidents is employee errors, followed by equipment insufficiencies, then bad practices. Independent research has shown that employing a health and safety officer within the workplace can cut down accidents by as much as 50 percent. It shows the Importance of a Health and Safety Officer in the workplace. Here we point out the responsibilities of a health and safety officer and how much he/she is important for an accident-free workplace.  Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced.
